Have you seen Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'?

The famous William Shakespeare play has been performed by many over the years, including The Beatles, and this weekend the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players' Summer Stock program will present it at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse.

The Cheyenne Little Theatre Players' Youth Summer Stock program has been rehearsing 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and will present three performances at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse on June 26, 27 and 28. The cost is only $5.

Performance times will be 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and the Sunday show will be a matinee beginning at 2 in the afternoon. This year's Youth Summer Stock program is under the direction of Amy Gorbey. The play was adapted with the help of Ceara Madson.

The Youth Summer Stock performers are local students ranging from seventh graders to seniors in high school. The shows will be performed on the Mary Godfrey Theatre stage at 2706 E. Pershing Blvd.

The classic Shakespeare play takes place in a magical forest during the wedding of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and Hippolyta. Their adventures include four Athenian lovers and six actors who are controlled and manipulated by fairies living in the forest.

Come out and support these talented young actors and enjoy an affordable evening or afternoon of live theater right here in Cheyenne.
