A 48-year-old Cheyenne man accused of kidnapping and punching his pregnant girlfriend has been bound over to Laramie County District Court.

Gregory Clyde Wanberg was arrested at his Laramie County home on Jan. 5 by deputies responding to a 911 hang up.

According to an affidavit, Wanberg's girlfriend told deputies that she had called 911 because Wanberg had assaulted her and prevented her from leaving the home by threatening to kill her and her unborn baby.

Wanberg is charged with kidnapping-force, aggravated assault and battery against a pregnant woman and first-offense domestic battery.  The kidnapping charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years to life.

Wanberg remains jailed on $25,000 cash bond. His arraignment date has yet to be scheduled.
