A Cheyenne man charged with aggravated assault and battery and four counts of property destruction has waived his preliminary hearing.

Twenty-five-year-old William Travelstead, Jr. is accused of threatening to kill his dad's friend with a knife on October 30.

According to court documents, Travelstead tried to stab the man in the stomach because he was mad at him for stealing his weed and pipe.

He's also accused of vandalizing the man's vehicles and breaking his bedroom window.

If convicted, Travelstead faces up to ten years in prison for the felony and up to six months for each misdemeanor charge.

Travelstead is being held in the Laramie County Detention Center on $3,000 cash bond. His arraignment date has not yet been scheduled.
