Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr says that while she hasn't seen hard numbers yet, she thinks Cheyenne Frontier Days events have mostly been pretty well attended so far.

The mayor adds cool, rainy weather may have put a little bit of a damper on attendance the last couple of days, and could continue to be a concern through the weekend with more rain in the forecast through Sunday.

But, she says there has been an upside to the cooler weather as well, because it may have reduced alcohol consumption. That, in turn, seems to have led to Cheyenne Police not having to deal with as many fights and other alcohol-related offenses.

CFD officials say Wednesday's Air Force Thunderbirds performance, at Laramie County Community College, set an all-time record, with over 18,000 in attendance. Over 22,000 people bought tickets to see the Eric Church concert at CFD, making it the fifth-most attended night show in Frontier Days history.

Monday's pancake breakfast served a little over 6,000 people, while about 8,800 were served on Wednesday morning.
