Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr has ordered all municipal flags in the city to be flown at half-staff all day on Monday, Sept. 11 in memory of those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The mayor is also asking residents to observe a moment of silence at 6:45 a.m. Mountain Time on Monday. That was the moment when the first plane struck the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York City.

"We must never forget September 11 and always keep those who lost their lives and their families in our prayers, and the first responders that answered those calls"  Mayor Orr said.
