The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued the following statement on weather conditions for Sunday, January 21:

"915 AM Sunday, January 21: DANGEROUS WINTER WEATHER CONTINUES! The heaviest snowfall is yet to come over much of the western Nebraska Panhandle, and winds are expected to continue to increase this afternoon from far southeast Wyoming into the southern Panhandle. Significant blowing and drifting snow is expected with very low visibilities likely! Near-blizzard conditions are possible. Travel is strongly discouraged! If you must travel this afternoon, check the latest road reports by dialing 511 or visiting wyoroad.info (Wyoming) or 511.nebraska.gov (Nebraska). Remember to notify friends or relatives of your travel intentions, and carry a winter survival kit in your vehicle."
