Cheyenne Navy Week Starts Tuesday

Cheyenne Navy Week gets underway Tuesday and runs through July 20.

Cheyenne was one of 12 U.S. cities chosen to host Navy Week 2015 events. Some of the highlights to Navy Week in Cheyenne the Navy Week kickoff Concert, Proclamation and Movie Tuesday night at the Ampitheatre in Lions Park.

The event will feature the Navy Band in Concert starting at 6:30 p.m., a proclamation of Navy Week by Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen at 7 p.m., and a presentation of the movie ''Top Gun" at dusk. Other Navy Week events include performances by the Navy Rock Band Southwest ''Destroyers" in the Depot Plaza Friday from 8:30 p.m. until 10 p.m.
