Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak says local police arrested 7 people on Monday in connection with a regional methamphetamine investigation in southeast Wyoming and Colorado.

Kozak says both the federal Drug Enforcement Administration as well as the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and a number of local law enforcement agencies across the two states cooperated in the investigation. Kozak says  a Cheyenne Police undercover agent played an active role in the investigation, and Cheyenne Police SWAT team members were deployed for the local arrests.

A total pf 18 arrest warrants were issued in connection with the investigation on Monday. Authorities have so far not released the names of the people arrested.
