Although three years have passed since the murders of Dwight Brockman and George "Doc" Manley, Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says the case "hasn't gone cold."

"It's still an active case," said Malatesta. "The leads are coming in more slowly, but we are still getting leads."

The 67-year-old Brockman and 76-year-old Manley were gunned down during an armed robbery at The Coin Shop on July 20, 2015, while the Cheyenne Frontier Days pancake breakfast was going on just blocks away.

Since then, police have poured thousands of man-hours into the case, but have yet to find the men's killer.

"Our detectives have done a great job of accessing all the evidence, going through everything that's been there, but we are looking for some new leads to help break this case," said Malatesta.

Because it's an "ongoing investigation" Malatesta couldn't talk about the specifics of the case, other than to say that "DNA analysis has been completed" and they "still haven't ruled anything out as far as (the suspect) being a local person or somebody from out of town."

"We really do want to make sure that we find out who did this," said Malatesta. "We don't want to just let this get put in a folder somewhere and have it be done, we want to continue pursuing leads."
