Cheyenne Police Officer Launches Effort For Stabbing Victims

A Cheyenne Police officer is asking people to donate money to help the victims of a stabbing that happened on Friday night.

Officer Brett Durante has started a Gofundme page for the Vanwoerkom family. Police say 30-year-old Randall Vanwoerkom stabbed his wife, 30-year-old Marcai Vanwoerkom, their 4 and 6-year-old sons and his father-in-law on Friday night after Mrs. Vanwoerkom accused her husband of extra-marital affairs.

At last report all four stabbing victims were in stable condition at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

Police believe Randall Vanwoerkom died after getting into a traffic accident on Interstate 25 in Weld County, Colo. and being hit by several cars on the highway, although DNA testing will be needed to verify the person killed really was Vanwoerkom.
