Captain Mitch Maxwell of the Cheyenne Police Department says that agency will have a number of displays and events at Superday Saturday in Lion's Park.

Maxwell says local police will feature the k9 unit, the DUI command vehicle, the SWAT team and other police events and displays.

He adds that while police will also be there to prevent crime, there usually aren't too many of those kind of problems at Superday.

Assistant Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Director Todd Feezer says he's expecting as many as 20,000 people to show up at Superday, which is a long-time Cheyenne tradition. It's presented by the City of Cheyenne and the HollyFrontier Corporation.

The bulk of the events are slated from 10 a.m. until five pm Saturday at Lion's Park, and affiliated activities include a car show and the Tour De Prairie bicycle race. Except for food and other items sold by Vendors, most Superday attractions are free to the public
