A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department is warning speeders and other traffic violators to watch out for the Grinch this holiday season.

Officer Dan Long says the department last year deployed an officer dressed as the Dr. Suess character in areas targeted for concentrated traffic enforcement. Long says police are continuing the tradition this year. He says the Grinch will be accompanied by the entire traffic enforcement team, looking for people breaking the posted speed limit as well as other traffic violations.

Long says the Grinch should make his first appearance this week.Long says police have been taking public input on their facebook  page about what areas of the city should be targeted for the special enforcement effort.
