If you choose to drink and drive this St. Patrick's Day weekend, you may be seeing the boys in blue and handing over your green.

Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says the department will be working with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie County Sheriff's Office and Wyoming State Parks to look for impaired drivers.

"We're putting out our big command van, our DUI van," said Malatesta. "It helps us process DUIs quicker, gives us some visibility and let's people know that we're doing the task force and hopefully deter them from driving while impaired."

Malatesta urges those who plan on drinking to designate a sober driver and leave their car keys at home. He also urges people to call 911 or local law enforcement if they suspect someone is driving drunk.
