Does your commute use the one way streets in downtown Cheyenne?

Starting on Monday, March 16, East 19th Street will be closed for repair work at Warren Avenue. Traffic will be detoured to 18th Street.

We knew the warm weather was too good to be true and there had to be a down side. Well, crews all over town are taking advantage of the above freezing temperatures to complete needed road repairs at various locations around Cheyenne.

The 19th St. closure is part of the reconstruction project phase I. Work will continue between Warren Ave. and Van Lennen Ave. and is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Along with the work on 19th Street, the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities will be repairing a sewer manhole on Ridge Road, north of Lincolnway. Crews plan to begin the repair on Monday, March 16, and expect to complete the project by Friday, March 27.

That construction work at Ridge Rd. and E. Lincolnway will result in lane shifts and parking restrictions near the 1300 block of Ridge.

Road construction also continues on Logan Ave. with detours in place at the intersection of E. Lincolnway.

Drive carefully and prepare for more road work on the way as the weather warms up.
