Cheyenne Schools Foundation Fundraiser This Month

The Cheyenne Schools Foundation (CSF) 18th Annual "Excellence in Education" 1 mile/5k Walk/Run is scheduled for September 20 at Cheyenne Central High School.

Sue Riske of the CSF says the event is the foundation's main fundraiser. Last year the foundation awarded 17 grants totaling over $24,000 for a variety of classroom projects and equipment.

Check in for the walk/run is scheduled for 8 a.m., with the event getting underway at 9 a.m.

There is a $5.00 registration fee for students, and a $15.00 charge for adults. Student participants will receive a water bottle and adults will get a t-shirt. Participants can register at Foot of the Rockies, 1740 Dell Range in Cheyenne, on the day of the event or at a website.

The Chick-Fil-A in the Frontier Mall is also holding a fundraiser on Thursday, September 11. The restaurant will donate $15 percent of proceeds from that day from customers who place their receipt in a special box next to the condiment container.
