Laramie County School District#1 schools will be offering free tutoring sessions for seventh through 12th-grade students during the upcoming winter break, according to a news release from the district.

The Chief Morningstar Academy at Cheyenne Central High School will be open from 8 a.m. until noon Tuesday, Dec. 27 through Thursday, Dec. 29 (lunch will not be provided). Secondary school students will have the chance to complete make-up assignments, including tests, according to the release.

Certified English, math, science and social studies teachers will be on hand to help students in those subject areas.

East High School will offer free tutoring from 9 a.m. until noon on Dec. 22-23 and again on Dec. 27-29. English, science and math tutors will be on hand but students may attend to work on any subject. Those sessions will be held in the cafeteria and the TBird Academy in Room 347.

South High will offer tutoring sessions Dec. 29 and 30 from 9 a.m. until noon, with the location still to be determined. Local students can attend sessions at any of the schools, regardless of whether they attend school there or not.
