With the worst record in their four year history, the Cheyenne Stampede will say good-bye as did the three other coaches before him. But is it the coaches or the players?  Whenever a team has a bad losing streak, the coach is usually the first to go. As is the case with Cheyenne Stampedes coach Eric Ballard, who was the first to sign on to a multi-year contract with the hockey team.

However, that came to a quick halt as the teams general manager Mark Lantz fired the coach upon elimination from the WSHL playoffs on March 7 of this year.

Lantz stated that Ballard probably knew it was coming and after considering a second year, they made the decision to let him go. So who will be the next victim to take the coaching helm of the team? That has yet to be determined.
