Steamboat's Steak and Smokehouse might not be closing after all. Last month, it was reported that the popular restaurant was planning to move. Now, they are hoping to stay in their current location.

According to co-owner Cathy Jarosh, Steamboat's is currently negotiating a long-term lease with their landlord. For now, they'll be open for business on Dell Range Blvd. through the end of April, at least.

Many employees left after the closing was announced, leaving the restaurant short on staff. They are now hiring for all positions and applicants are encouraged to inquire in person.

Named for Wyoming's iconic bucking bronco, Steamboat's is known for their western decor and exotic entrees like rattlesnake bites and chicken-fried bacon. Since opening in 2013, It has been one of Cheyenne's most popular restaurants. It is currently ranked #19 out of 157 local restaurants on Trip Advisor.
