Cheyenne Central will be trying to avenge a 33-15 drubbing by Cheyenne East when the teams collide in Class 4A football playoff action at 5pm at Okie Blanchard Stadium.

On paper East should have the advantage, having defeated Central four consecutive times including that regular season meeting on October 4. East also boasts a 7-2 regular season record vs. Central's 4-5 mark.

East was able to consistently  move the ball in the regular season match up, running up 411 yards of total offense and averaging five yards per play, so the Central defense will be trying to do a better job of getting the ball back for the offense.

East, though, is trying to rebound from a 41-6 drubbing at the hands of Gillette last week.  The game could be the last ever at the old Okie Blanchard Stadium, with East scheduled to begin play in a brand-new $14.5 million stadium, also to be named Okie Blanchard, next season.
