Work on the 150-bed 307 Hotel, Convention and Event Center Complex will begin in fall 2019 with completion expected in the summer of 2021. The 307 Convention & Event Hotel will be located within the 2,400-acre Sweetgrass Development off East College Drive in Cheyenne.

“We look forward to working with the City of Cheyenne and Laramie County to develop the state’s largest hotel and convention center,” Tate Bauman CEO of 307 Land Development. said in a statement. "The convention and event hotel will fulfill the growing demand to accommodate guests and provide much needed space to host trade shows and events. Wonderful things are happening, and 307 Hospitality is excited to play a role in economic development and bringing jobs to our community.”

Early estimates show the project will add approximately $60 million annually to Cheyenne's local economy as well as 170 new jobs. The project is located adjacent to Laramie County Community College. Bauman plans to work with college leadership to offer hospitality career training and employment for students. Bauman said 307 Land Development will serve as the project’s development manager, while AU Workshop will provide architect and design services and a qualified contractor will construct the complex, which is being funded by a private equity firm.

Plans are also in development to construct residential and student housing along with public schools, a golf course and community park in the Sweetgrass Development area. Additional information regarding the project, including the brand of the hotel will be released in the future.
