Traffic through the Ames Avenue underpass in Cheyenne will be periodically restricted to one lane on Monday, June 12, according to a release from the City of Cheyenne.

Spokesman Scott Smith says the lane closure will be to allow the Union Pacific Railroad to repair one of its bridges. The work is expected to get underway around 7 a.m.

Smith says flaggers will be on the scene to direct traffic, but he says it would probably be a good idea for people to plan another route while the work continues.
