Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power, Habitat for Humanity and AARP Wyoming are joining forces for a weatherization project in Cheyenne on Saturday, September 13.

Volunteers will be weatherproofing homes in the 500 and 600 block of West 23rd street between O'Neill and Bent Avenues between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Homes will also be outfitted with safety features (identified by AARP Wyoming) such as smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers.

Volunteers will also take steps to improve the appearance of the neighborhood, according to a news release from CLFP.
