Do you know any young filmmakers in Cheyenne?

You'll be able to watch some award winning short films made by Cheyenne youth this Saturday, May 23, at a free film festival inside the Atlas Theatre.

The Third Annual Cheyenne Youth Short Film Festival will feature award winning films, all 15 minutes or less, that were made by local movie makers who are 18 or younger. The semi-formal event is free and doors open at 6:30 p.m., screenings start at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, in downtown Cheyenne at the Atlas Theatre.

Cash prizes and other awards will be presented to winners of this year's festival. The winning films were chosen by a panel of judges. The event is hosted by Mystic Key Productions, an independent film group supporting young aspiring filmmakers. They received a record number of entries for this year's contest.

If you are interested in making movies, maybe you can start working on your film to submit for next year's Cheyenne Youth Short Film Festival.
