Christmas/New Year’s Trash Pickup Announced

The trash and recycle pick up schedule for Christmas and New Year’s in Cheyenne has been announced.

Trash and recycling items that usually would be picked up on Wednesday, December 25 will instead be pick up on Saturday, December 28th. Trash and recycle items normally scheduled for pickup on Wednesday, January 1 will be picked up on Saturday, January 4th.

Residents are being asked to have their trash ready for pickup onĀ  the Saturdays by 6:30 am, according to city spokesman Scott Smith. The Solid Waste Transfer Station, the Landfill on Happy Jack Road and the Compost Facility on Windmill Road will all be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day, according to Smith.
