Have you noticed the Christmas decorations on the light poles in downtown Cheyenne?

City crews have been busy installing the annual lit-up decorations along the Cheyenne Christmas Parade route. There's blue snowflakes, red bells and shining stars. The parade begins at 5:30 p.m. on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 30.Dale Steenbergen, president of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, expects a big turnout for this year's parade, around 15,000 spectators along the route and more than 100 entries in the parade. He says there's still time to get a float in the parade and they are seeking volunteers to work as Parade Marshals and to hang 'no parking' signs ahead of November 30th. To volunteer, please call the Chamber at 638-3388.

If you need some help getting into the Christmas spirit, take a drive through downtown Cheyenne and by the Depot Plaza at night and enjoy all the festive lights.
