Did you know you can see a theatrical production of an Alfred Hitchcock movie in downtown Cheyenne?

The Cheyenne Little Theatre Players present 'The 39 Steps' at the historic Atlas Theatre March 23 through April 1.

Performances start at 7:30 p.m. on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows and at 2 p.m. for the Sunday matinee. The Thursday, March 29, performance is specially priced at $10 per ticket.

This adaptation is a spoof of the Alfred Hitchcock film. It's described as a hilarious comedy/love story/spy thriller with four actors playing a total of 150 different parts.

The novel, 'The 39 Steps,' was written in 1930 by John Buchan and director Alfred Hitchcock made it into a movie in 1935.

The film featured Robert Donat as Richard Hannay and Madeleine Carroll played the woman he meets on a train.

In 2005, Patrick Barlow adapted the film script into a theatrical production with four actors playing the roles of more than 30 characters.

The production is described as a fast-paced Alfred Hitchcock thriller mixed with spy novel noir and some Monty Python hilarity.

The cast for the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players production of 'The 39 Steps' features:

-Dale Williams as Richard Hannay

-Justin Earnshaw as Clown #1

-Justin Batson as Clown #2

-Shannon Skelcher Earnshaw plays Annabelle/Margaret/Pamela

The director, Steven Lien,  says this is one show the folks of Cheyenne should not miss. It's the final CLTP production of the 2011/2012 season to be performed at the intimate and historic Atlas Theatre.
