Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak says that agency wrote 141 tickets last week for motorists running red lights.

He says patrol officers were especially targeting red light violations in several areas of the city. The chief says there were 108 car crashes in Cheyenne in 2013 involving people running red lights, leading to 33 injuries.

Kozak also says the fine for red light violations on July 1 will increase from $85 to $125.
