As of right now, Laramie County School District 1 gives two snow days a year.  Any more after that, days get added on at the end of the school year. The children in Cheyenne have to attend 180 days of school each year and the last day of school is June 5th for LCSD1.

In Maine, they already have had three snow days this year and a total of nine last year.  There is a pilot program in Maine called 'remote school days,' according to CBS News.  This is set up in case students have a snow day their work gets sent home.  If the students don't do the work, they are marked as absent for the day.

How else are kids supposed to work on their snowballs if there are no snow days?
