CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Cheyenne City Council's Public Services Committee is recommending approval of an ordinance that would require door-to-door salespeople to obtain a license from the city before selling any goods or services.

It still needs to be approved by the City Council.

Cheyenne Police Lt. Rob Dafoe says that in recent years there has been an increase in door-to-door sales and subsequent complaints that tend to accompany them.

Dafoe tells the Wyoming Tribune Eagle  that the department responds to between 40 and 60 complaints on average during the summer about door-to-door salespeople.
