Wyoming Cowboy football fans will get a chance to meet new Head Coach Craig Bohl and his players at a ''Cowboy Kickoff'' event August 29 at 7:45 p.m. at Jonah Field.

Bohl comes to Wyoming from North Dakota State, where he won three consecutive Football Championship Series (FCS) titles including a perfect 15-0 2013 record. Among those victories was a 24-21 road win over defending Big Twelve Champion Kansas State--one of four consecutive wins Bohl's North Dakota State teams recorded over Football Bowl Series (formerly known as Division 1) teams as head coach of the Bison.

Bohl has promised Cowboy fans a tough, physical team that will be well-versed in the fundamental skills such as blocking and tackling. Ironically, the Cowboys kick off their 2014 schedule against an opponent Bohl knows well--the University of Montana Grizzlies, another  FCS powerhouse. The Grizzlies are coming off a 10-3 record and a loss in the FCS playoffs.

The Cowboy Kickoff will also feature a performance by country music star Craig Morgan, as well as a chance to check out the recent changes at Jonah Field.  Tailgate alley will also unveil a new look, with food vendors and concessionaires on location.

Adult tickets for the kickoff are $25 in advance, $35 the day of the show. Children under 12 get in for $8, while students with ID are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Ticket info is available at cowboykickoff@uwyo.edu.
