Although the biggest crowds for Cheyenne Frontier Days 2013 are likely still ahead, a spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department said Wednesday morning that so far things have gone  smoothly from a law enforcement perspective.

Officer Dan Long says the extra officers brought in from Casper and Laramie to help with CFD 2013 seem to be helping deal with the increased work load local police generally face  face during  Cheyenne Frontier Days. Long also says using Kennedy Road onto Central as an 'exit only'' venue seems to be moving traffic along following rodeos and night shows more quickly than has been the case during previous years.

But even though things have gone well so far, Long adds the big tests for law enforcement are still ahead, with Cheyenne Day on Wednesday followed by the final weekend of CFD 2013 on Saturday and Sunday.
