The battle is on, against geese and the disgusting droppings they leave in our parks, golf courses and other bodies of water. Past efforts to persuade the migratory birds to relocate to areas outside the city have failed, but a new approach could prove positive.

The City of Cheyenne is trying out a company that used specially trained Border Collies to make the geese uncomfortable enough to relocate outside the ‘Magic City of the Plains.’ According to The Cheyenne Tribune Eagle;

“These dogs were hunting dogs at one point, so we use every aspect of what they do as a hunting dog except for the final aspect, which is the kill.”
