At the Arab Museum of Modern Art in Qatar, Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang used microchip-controlled explosives to make amazing patterns in the sky. It’s the coolest (and only) example of daytime fireworks we’ve ever seen.

Each explosion was meant to paint a different picture. One sends inky black clouds into the sky and another creates a fantastic pyramid shape over the desert floor. Watch Guo-Qiang make art out of colorful explosions below.
