During a press conference Thursday afternoon, democratic gubernatorial candidate Pete Gosar called on Governor Matt Mead to agree to five additional debates between now and election day with the questions to come from the public listening in online.

Gosar said he believes the public deserves to put questions directly to himself and to Mead. When asked Gosar said he would welcome the participation of third-party candidates as well.

Mead's campaign manager Gale Geringer said Mead believes that the two conventional debates already scheduled will provide enough opportunity for all state residents to judge the candidates.
