Denver Bronco’s Home Changes from Invesco to Sports Authority Field at Mile High

The stadium is still the same, only the name has changed.

The home of the Denver Broncos, Invesco Field, has been renamed Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Cranes were installing the new signage Wednesday morning and it could take two weeks, according to one crane operator, for all the work to be finished.

On Monday night, September 12, the Denver Broncos host the Oakland Raiders to open their NFL regular season.

The Metropolitan Football Stadium District unanimously approved a deal Tuesday, August 16, to transfer the naming rights from Invesco to the Englewood-based Sports Authority according to KDVR.

The 25-year deal is reportedly worth six million dollars per year.

When the new Mile High Stadium opened in 2001, the first event held there was a concert by the Eagles. On May 21, 2011, U2 brought their 360 degree tour to the stadium.
