Did you hear whether Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow or not last weekend?

With all of the excitement leading up to the Super Bowl on February 2, many forgot that it was also Groundhog Day last Sunday. At Gobbler's Knob in Pennsylvania, the most famous rodent prognosticator appeared before a crowd of thousands and reportedly saw his shadow, predicting six more weeks of winter. This marked the 128th year that ceremonies were held in Punxsutawney for a glimpse of weather to come.

Wyoming's own forecasting prairie dog, Lander Lil, also saw her shadow on Sunday, concurring with her east coast relative. Lander's celebration began in 1984 and for the past several years, a large bronze statue has replaced their live prairie dog, Lander Lil.

Are you a fan of any winter sports? If the groundhog predicts cold weather, might as well make the most of it. I like to go sledding with my son, building snowmen and in my younger years enjoyed skiing at the Snowy Range Ski Area.

What's your favorite kind of outdoor fun during the winter months?
