Do We Have Wyoming Slang?

Remember when “Far Out,” and “Cool” were actually “Hip?”  This list shows you the most popular AND most annoying, but do we have any "Wyoming slang?"

According to SF Weekly, there’s a new survey that asks people what the most annoying and overused slang word being used today, and right at the top, “Yolo,” which is an abbreviation for “You Only Live Once.”  Here’s a list of the top 10 most annoying slang words, see if your kids are over using these:

1. YOLO
2. Selfie
3. Twerking  (Thank you Miley Cyrus!)
4. Cray cray, which means Crazy
5. Leggo, which means “lets go!”
6. Trashed
7. Whack
8. Going Ham which means “go crazy or “go hard”
9. Stoked, which means excited
10. Boho, which I’ve never heard before, but apparently it’s short for “bohemian”

My friend Justin who runs the wonderful café at LCCC, uses the slang “totes adorb” which is short for “totally adorable.”  I’m now probably over using this slang!  Are there any slang words you’ve heard that are not on this list?

I’m also curious if there’s any slang words that are specific to our Cowboy state?  When my husband and I told our friends and family we were moving to Wyoming, they said “I bet you’ll have to say ‘ya’all’ and ‘over yonder!’”  I can honestly say I haven’t heard either.  Do we have any “Wyoming slang” words?
