At the Kansas City Animal Shelter, a sweet Mastiff was waiting to be someone’s furr-ever friend, but time after time, after time, after time, humans passed her by in favor of others, mostly due to her fear of children and other dogs. Finally, after 445 days, someone opened their heart and home to this nearly forgotten dog. Faith in humanity restored.

In Cheyenne, Wyoming, there are animals that have been waiting to be part of a family, maybe yours. Splinter (pictured above) has been a Cheyenne Animal Shelter resident since November 15th, and might just have the love you both need.

“The shelter’s Kennels are full and we are running out of room.”

– Tiffany Logan, Cheyenne Animal Shelter

The dogs are constantly coming in so they are having a sale until Saturday, January 6.

This week, after reading stories about that long waiting mastiff and the story from Gillette, Wyoming this week where a 24-year-old man was charged with felony animal cruelty for leaving a puppy in a dumpster during sub-zero temperatures. Luckily, people heard the puppy whining and saved it just in time and it is now recovering.

Let’s show the world that we are better than this.

You can save animal lives, enhance your own life and bring home some love. Contact The Cheyenne Animal Shelter, or a shelter near you and see what they have for you, make a donation, volunteer, and learn more about caring for our animals.

We are stewards of this earth, let’s do it right.
