The Eagles popularized country rock in the 1970's and now drummer Don Henley is reportedly in Nashville working on an album of country cover tunes according to recent tweets and internet sites including http://www.theboot.com/2011/01/24/don-henley-country-album-2011/.
Stan Lynch, the drummer for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, is said to be producing the album. Among the featured guest singers are Alison Krause and Ronnie Dunn from Brooks & Dunn. In a 2007 interview with CNN Henley said he was under contract with Warner Brothers to put out a couple solo albums.
