Don’t Fear The Reaper, Allen

Blue Öyster Cult founding member Allen Lanier has passed away at 67.

The keyboardist and guitar player died after being hospitalized for C.O.P.D. (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), likely brought on by smoking.

Allen was with BÖC from 1967 through 1985, returned in 1987 but finally retired from the stage in 2006.

The Long Island, New York band is best known for their great metal classics "Godzilla;" "Burnin' for You" and appropriately enough, “Don’t Fear The Reaper.”
