March second marks the 107th birthday of Dr Seuss and kids all around the world are celebrating by reading his books.

I grew up enjoying Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat In The Hat and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. They helped me become a better reader and years later I read many Dr Seuss books to my children.

Dr Seuss was born Theodor Seuss Geisel in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1904 and published 44 children's books.

Numerous adaptations of his work have been created including eleven television specials, a Broadway musical and three feature films.

Geisel's last book in 1990 was Oh The Places You'll Go and many Seniors have received it for a graduation gift. You'll know why when you read the book or watch this video with actor John Lithgow reading it. Thank you Dr Seuss and Happy Birthday!
