Driven for Moms Contest Winner is Ione Swallow!

Congratulations to Ione Swallow of Cheyenne! She's the 2014 Big O Tires Driven for Moms Contest winner.

Big O Tires teamed up with several local sponsors to giveaway a refurbished 1997 Buick Park Avenue to a single Mom in need of reliable transportation on Saturday, May 10.

Great Western Auto Mart donated the 1997 Buick Park Avenue, refurbished with help from Private Eyes Window Tint, Glen at Napa Auto Parts, Andy at Big Al's who donated a muffler and Big O Tires who updated the vehicle with new tires and mechanical work and will provide routine services on the car for the next year.

Ione Swallow was nominated by several of her friends and family members including Teffany and Rose. They told her story of being a single Mom, new to Cheyenne, with 3 young children and no transportation. Ione would arrange a ride or walk to work, school and daycare with her kids; 5-year-old Aliana, Akeisha who is 18 months and the youngest Trey.

Ione Swallow not only won the car with maintenance for a year, she was also awarded a $250 gift card to Albertson's from Big O Tires presented by Jack and Jamie Floyd at the Yellowstone Road location. (Albertson's donated donuts and Eileen's chipped in some cookies for the celebration on Saturday morning). Private Eyes Window Tint also bought presents for Ione's children.

Family members, including Ione's brother Casey, were on hand to surprise the winner who had no idea she was about to win a car. Great Western Auto Mart owner Terry Thompson and Dennis Lemoine completed the required paperwork to transfer the title to Ione Swallow.

A woman picking up some flowers at the Big O Tires store even got caught up in the spirit of the celebration and donated her bouquet to the lucky single Mom.

Ione and Teffany both commented that this has 'turned into a beautiful Mother's Day.'
