Here is a rundown of action involving Cheyenne high school football teams this evening. All rankings are derived from the weekly wyopreps.com poll.

Kelly Walsh (3-3) at South (0-6)--South came very close to their first ever 4a football victory last week at home, falling to Evanston 14-12. They really are getting better, while Kelly Walsh, as their  record indicates, is basically a middle-of-the pack 4A team. Weather could be a factor in this game, which kicks off tonight at 7 at South.

#5 Central (3-3) at #2 Gillette (6-0)--While I don't personally think Gillette is as good as Natrona, you couldn't prove it by their unbeaten record, and they are clearly at least the second best team in class 4a right now. Throw in the fact they are at home, and Central has it's work cut out. Central has been playing well of late, however, and if they can get some turnovers, who knows? Kickoff tonight at 7pm in Gillette

Rock Springs (1-5) at #4 East (4-2)--East is coming off a 34-2 thumping at Natrona, and will probably take out their frustrations at home against a mediocre Rock Springs team which has only an early season 28-15 win over Laramie. Should be a win for East, assuming they don't self destruct with turnovers and penalties. Kickoff tonight at 7 at East
