Eric Clapton sold more than 70 guitars and amplifiers at a charity auction in New York earlier this month and raised more than two million dollars for the Crossroads Center. That's a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Antigua that Clapton co-founded in 1998.

Rolling Stone reports that a replica of "Blackie," the guitarist's famous Fender Stratocaster in the photo on the left, sold for just over 30-thousand dollars.

The top-selling item at the auction was a 1948 Gibson hollow body guitar that went for 83-thousand dollars, far more than it's estimated value of 30-thousand.

Wish I would have had some extra cash to make a bid.
