ESPN Host Arrested in Wyoming for Criminal Entry [UPDATED]
UPDATE (1:45 p.m.):
The Jackson Police Department has released further details of the arrest of an ESPN radio host.
Ryen Russillo, host of The Russillo Show, was arrested early Wednesday after reportedly barging into someone's home.
Police were called at about 3:30 a.m. to the 500 block of Snow King Loop for a report of an intoxicated man refusing to leave.
The victims showed officers where Russillo was allegedly lying on a bed in the south bedroom. Police say Russillo's eyes were glassy and bloodshot, his speech was slurred and he could not answer questions coherently. Authorities say those factors all indicated that Russillo was drunk.
Russillo reportedly didn't seem to know where he was and couldn't answer questions about where he was staying.
It did not appear to police as though Russillo had forced entry, but entered through a door which had not been properly secured.
Police say because Russillo entered unlawfully and did not leave when asked, he was arrested for violating Jackson's criminal trespass law. The alleged crime is a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $750.
The host of an ESPN radio show is currently an inmate at the Teton County Detention Center, having been arrested Wednesday on a criminal entry charge.
Ryen Russillo, 42, of West Hartford, Connecticut, was arrested by the Jackson Police Department. Officials were not immediately able to detail the circumstances surrounding Russillo's arrest.
The Russillo Show airs weekdays from 1-4 p.m. on ESPN Radio. It's also available as a podcast.
We expect to have further details shortly, and will update this post as we learn more.
