FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cheyenne Fitness Center, Fit Body Boot Camp, Launches Community Wide Fitness Challenge to Fight Obesity and Help Local Homeless Shelter

The Cheyenne fitness center, Fit Body Boot Camp, announces the launch of their 1,000 Pound Meltdown Challenge designed to benefit the local homeless shelter, COMEA Shelter.

In an effort to fight both rising obesity statistics and homelessness in Laramie County, the Cheyenne fitness center known as Fit Body Boot Camp announces the launch of a 1,000 lb Meltdown Challenge that benefits participants as well as the local homeless shelter, COMEA Shelter.

According to recent data, the obesity rate in Laramie County for adults is 25.3% and the adult rate for diabetes is at 8.3%. While these numbers are frightening, Cheyenne Fit Body Boot Camp’s 1,000 lb Meltdown Challenge hopes to spread awareness about the these rising statistics and support the homeless population at the same time.

The fee to participate in the 28 day fitness challenge is $20 and it includes access to Fit Body Boot Camp’s 30 minute fat burning workouts, nutritional support, and motivation to ensure weight loss success. All proceeds collected will be donated to the COMEA Shelter, whose mission is to provide a safe, secure, and temporary shelter to the homeless.

Owner and operator of the Cheyenne Fit Body Boot Camp, local fitness expert Sara Bohlinger, says she is more than excited to launch the community fitness challenge.

She explains, “The 1,000 lb. Meltdown Challenge is so exciting for me for so many reasons. It is that time of year when it easy to get wrapped up in all the friends, family, food and activities. We forget three months out of the year that we need to take care of ourselves, and instead focus solely on others, compromising our health and our waistlines. I believe that the 1,000 lb. Meltdown Challenge will help us still give back to the community, and become healthier and happier versions of ourselves, inspiring others in the process.”

Bohlinger continues, “As we lose a thousand pounds together as a community imagine the impact that it will have on your families, friends, co workers, even strangers on the street as we inspire others towards a healthier, happier lifestyle, all while inspiring ourselves.”
