It seems like everywhere you turn you have to be careful, lest someone steal money or other personal information from you. The shopping app scammers are here.

Fake apps, that appear to be from legitimate stores, have made their way to the Apple Store and are trying to lure you into their trap.

Recently, a report came out stating that more people are accessing the internet on their handheld devices, more so than their desktop computers.

Should you download a fake app, your phone can be subjected to malicious ware to your device, thus giving criminals access to your information. That's a bad deal.

Other bad marks of downloading a fake app can result in your Facebook and banking account information being hacked.

A few good ways to avoid this trap is to check out the legitimacy of the app's company before downloading onto your handheld device. Also, never use your debit card in an app, or to pay for an app, online.

Beware of the snares because they are out there to get you and your family. Be aware and be safe, especially during the holiday season.
