These days, it seems like every classic rock band has their own line of adult beverages. Iron Maiden has "Trooper Beer", The Police have "Message in a Bottle Wine", Queen has "Killer Queen Vodka" and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons has "Pura Vida" tequila. Then, of course, there's Sammy Hagar and Jimmy Buffet, who have turned booze into big business.

Now, the family of Jimi Hendrix is cashing in on the craze. This week, Jimi's brother Leon Hendrix announced a new partnership with the Tiger Paw Beverage Company. Their first product will be 'Purple Haze Liqeur'. The spirit will feature a mix of cognac, vodka and fruit and is expected to arrive in liquor stores across the country this summer.

'Purple Haze Liquer' is the first of several Jimi Hendrix inspired beverages the company plans to market. Check out the official Purple Haze webpage here.
