According to the Food and Drug Administration, foods that are cooked at high temperatures, such as fries, can form a cancerous chemical, Acrylamide.

The dangerous chemical has been known to be found in potato foods like chips and fries. It's also known to be formed in foods with a grain base like toast and cereal.

According to chemists with the FDA, removing Acrylamide from your diet isn't necessary as it is very wide spread.

What they are saying is in order to reduce the Acrylamide, to cook your toast or fries at the recommended levels of light brown.
