Have you seen Stanley Kubrick's classic movie 'The Shining'?

Help celebrate the 35th anniversary of the film, based on Stephen King's novel, by seeing it at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Tuesday, June 9.

The movie is part of the Film On The Rocks series, presenting nine events throughout the summer in Morrison, Colorado. The screening of 'The Shining' begins at sundown on Tuesday, June 9, preceded by performances by a comedian from Comedy Works in Denver and two bands, Munley & the Lupercalians with Stella Luce.

Gates open at 6:30 and the live entertainment begins at 7 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk. The cost for the evening is $12 in advance with prices increasing on the day of the show.

  • June 23: 'JURASSIC PARK' with School of Rock
  • July 31: 'PRETTY WOMAN' with SHEL + Moses
  • Aug 26: 'THE BREAKFAST CLUB' with Jen Korte & the Loss with The Dirty Femmes
  • Aug 31: 'GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY' with Kaleo + Bluebook
  • Sept 2: END OF SEASON SPECTACULAR to be announced at a later date

Film on the Rocks is presented by Pepsi and the Denver Film Society. The program began in 2000. Bring back some drive-in movie memories by seeing a film under the stars at Red Rocks.
